Polly has cultivated her craft and eclecticism over the past decade, performing at all the leading UK jazz clubs, international festivals and as a regular at the legendary venue Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, where she has sung with the All-Stars, led by pianist and house musical director James Pearson.
Fully embracing the inspiring, expansive array of American jazz, soul and blues influences that have infused her dynamic career as an artist and live performer, Polly Gibbons fashions a frolicsome, freewheeling musical history lesson on Is It Me… ?, her second release on the indie jazz label Resonance Records.

Thursday 21st - Shapla Salique + Band. Radio Asia Festival, Warsaw, Poland.
The artist employs traditional Bengali music to create its most refined combinations with jazz and soul vibrations, introducing the new generations of audiences to the somehow forgotten local folklore. Her work is rooted in the songs of Bauls, nomadic mystics, god’s madcaps, performing extremely emotional pieces, expressing spiritual fulfillment and mystical experiences. Following the Bauls’ footsteps, Shapla Salique uses a melodic, trans form to present love songs accompanied by traditional, Bangladeshi instruments (tabla, harmonium, ektara) and the smooth-jazz sounds of double bass, drums, acoustic guitar and saxophone.

Shapla Salique is a London based Bengali Folk Music artist originally from Sylhet. Shapla’s dynamic spiritual melodies and soaring vocals are gaining her recognition on the world music scene. Most recently she has been featured in Songlines magazine and has received a great review for her new album ‘No Boundaries’. Her style is deeply rooted in the Bengali folk Baul tradition which she carries forward and experiments using western instruments. She performs with her jazz band across the UK and abroad.

Hope n Mic #Stand4Rohigya is an event to raise money to help provide emergency relief and medical aid to the Rohingya in Bangladesh. Salam Jones and his team will be personally going to the Bangladesh border, to bring aid and medical supplies to the Rohingya. This trip is self funded and ALL money raised will be used towards this cause.

Award-winning jazz vocalist/lyricist, Georgia Mancio, has proved herself one of Europe’s most original, adventurous and multi-faceted new artists. Her soulful sound has captivated audiences worldwide, from London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall and Houses of Parliament to Canada and Italy. Shapla’s dynamic spiritual melodies and soaring vocals are gaining her recognition on the world music scene. Her style is deeply rooted in the Bengali folk Baul tradition which she carries forward and experiments using western instruments. She performs with her jazz band across the UK and abroad. Shapla has been singing and performing since she was a little girl. From playing at East London local schools, community centres and festivals, to leading vocalist at the Royal Albert Hall and making appearances on various mainstream TV shows. Shapla continues to push boundaries with her musical talent and will be performing material from her hugely successful recent album, No Boundaries.
