Patchwork Project
The
Patchwork Project joins together Hannah Horton on tenor and baritone sax, Tom
Rickard on vibes, Rob Statham on bass, and Steve Hynes on drums to create the
project’s unique, distinctive, homogenous and melodious sound.
Hannah’s
individual sound and melodic lines are indicative of Stan Getz on tenor, and
reminiscent of the laid back style of Gerry Mulligan on baritone. Tom’s subtle
phrasing and great command of the four mallet technique mirrors the style of
fellow American Gary Burton. Magic fingered and percussive Rob Statham on bass and swinging Steve Hynes on
drums complete the patchwork.
